Avoid blood-thinning medications for 2 weeks prior such as Aspirin, Vioxx, Advil, Motrin, , NSAIDS, Ibuprofen, Aleve, and supplements including St. John’s Wort, Gingko Biloba, primrose oil, garlic, ginseng, and Vitamin E.
If you are on a medically indicated blood thinner stay on it, but consult with your provider ahead of time or day of the procedure
Do not drink alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours prior the day of the procedure.
Arrive with a clean face, please wash your face prior to your appointment
If you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another eruption of cold sores. Please start your anti-viral medication 3 days prior to your injection and let your physician assistant know if you are prone.
Do not use Botox if you are pregnant, are allergic to any ingredients, or suffer from neurological disorders.
Schedule Botox® appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event which may be occurring, i.e., wedding, vacation, etc. to avoid bruising on your special event
Dermal Filler Pre-Treatment
A few simple guidelines before your treatment can make a difference between a good result and a fantastic one.
Patient should be in good overall health. A full medical and dental history must be performed on all patients for optimal results.
If you develop a cold sore, blemish, or rash, etc. prior to your appointment you must reschedule.
If you have a special event or vacation coming up schedule your treatment at least 2 weeks in advance.
Let us know if you are prone to cold sores – a pre-operative medication may help prevent cold sores after treatment.
NO Aspirin, Motrin, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, or any other essential fatty acids at least 5 days before and after treatment.
Discontinue Retin-A two (2) days before and two (2) days after treatment.
AVOID: Alcohol, caffeine, Niacin supplement, high-sodium foods, high sugar foods, refined carbohydrates (you may eat fruit), spicy foods, and cigarettes 24-48 hours before and after your treatment
